Even though nobody really knows what the innovative notebooks will incorporate in order to have a 3D display since the secret is very well kept, speculations arose on this subject. Rumors have it that Hewlett Packard`s model will comprise a 18.4-inch screen and the support of NVIDIA’s GeForce 3D Vision. This type of technology transforms a 120Hz LCD into two 60Hz stereoscopic images that can be seen in 3D if the user puts on 3D glasses. Taiwanese assembler, Wistron uses this existing NVIDIA’s GeForce 3D Vision technology and develops upon it, a cost-effective strategy which means that the final purchasing price of the 3D display notebook will not be above the traditional gadgets apart from the fact that the customer will have to acquire the 3D glasses as well. It is still unknown when Hewlett Packard`s 3D display notebook will be available on the market, but speculations state that first shipments will be done starting with June, but further delays may take place. |
